What are SDGs?

SDGs are an abbreviation of "Sustainable Development Goals", are organized with 17 goals and 169 targets to solve social issues and create a bright future by 2030. The SDGs are global goals which were adopted unanimously by the United Nations and its 193 member nations, in Sep. 2015.

    As S-TAKAYA develops, designs, manufactures and sells semiconductors, electrical machines and related products, it is our responsibility to manufacture products which are friendly to the environment of the earth. We put efforts on environmental preservation activities based on our behavioral guidelines and basic environmental philosophy.

    Our basic philosophy for the environment is based on "Aim for a comfortable society" in the "Company Motto".

    • 1.We continue improving our environmental management system by constantly recognizing the environmental impacts of our business in order to improve the environmental performance with promoting environmental protection.
    • 2.We adhere to the related applicable environmental regulations, other requirements we accepted and our voluntary standards.
    • 3.In order to achieve the environmental policy, we set environmental goals and promote environmental preservation activities. Also, the environmental goals is reconsidered regularly.

Activities on Information Security

Information security policy

S-TAKAYA is, located in Okayama prefecture where has less natural disasters, manufacturing and inspecting IC and LSI device products with various packages. Also, we develop, manufacture and sell our unique products and electrical and electronic equipment by utilizing our know-how built over many years. In our business, the information needs to be securely dealt with at daily basis, and especially, it is essential to strengthen the information security management for production management system, customer information and technology information. In order to continue contributing ourselves to the development of information society through development and manufacturing of semiconductor device products, we introduce ISMS and practice highly secure management, and adhere to following policy for our continuous improvement.

  • 1. We utilize ISMS to achieve following purposes.
    • (1)Improving customer trust
    • (2)Improving our brand image
    • (3)Improving IT level and cost effectiveness
    • (4)Minimization of damage caused by information security accidents
    • (5)Building and continuing the legal compliance system
  • 2.In order to achieve the information security expected by customers, we obey the code of behavior of company, ISMS manual, company regulation, company rules/procedures, and related laws and regulations (Copyright Act, Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Unfair Competition Prevention Act, etc.)
  • 3.Our CEO appoints an ISMS manager, establishes an ISMS meeting, and strives to continuously improve the ISMS. Also, in order to confirm that the operation of ISMS is as expected, the internal audits are conducted regularly, and appropriate corrections are made. In addition, at least once a year, we carry out a management review to see the entire ISMS to continuously improve the management system. This policy is reconsidered according to the change in the working environment, and especially the customer needs for the security are considered in every ISMS meeting, and applied for the continuous improvement of ISMS and business development.
  • 4.During the risk assessment, we identify the information assets related to business processes, and select necessary counter measures. In particular, we put efforts on prevention of information leakage by concentrating on handling the risks related to the confidentiality of such as customer information and technology information. Also, by focusing on handling the risks related to the integrity and availability of production management systems, we put efforts on minimizing the influence by system stoppage.
  • 5.This policy is posted on the intranet and also used for educational activities to make employees aware of the importance of the information security, and disclosed to the customers and business partners appropriately.
